Old School Cool.
I've owned a lot of pairs of harness boots in my life, from cheap to expensive, and these are by far the best quality to price boot my feet have ever slid into. Furthermore, unlike newer harness boots that have a wider mid sole and a much taller toe, such as HH, Stetson, or Harley, these feature that slim, sleek 60's style profile that's been very hard to find since the 90's ended. The leather is heavy duty and gorgeous, though a bit thinner in the shaft than the weight would have you think. They came a little dry from the warehouse, but one round of polish, and these boots came alive in an uncontestable way, with a deep, rich, vivid black that's hard to find on a boot these days. They're surprisingly light, owing to the fiberglass shank, if I had to assume, and do a good job both on foot, and in the saddle of a Dyna. Many have remarked that the shaft is plenty wide to accommodate tucking jeans in- firstly, this is not how harness boots were traditionally worn in their prime, but secondly, I MUST have big calves because there is absolutely no way- if you are a muscular, or chronically heavyset dude, the shaft will hug a bit near the top.

2 1/2 years of biking and hiking. These are great boots, comfortable and protect my calves and feet, allow really good operation, solid stance and bike balance and I can easily take walks. Compared to others- real favorites. Great for pegs or floor boards. Good fit.

Ordered second pair since my size keeps going out of stock. Been wearing first pair since beginning of year. Noticed some wear on insole. Poron is compromise between durability and comfort. Do like enough to reorder. F brand boots are no longer an option as they are made everywhere now. Insist on USA. They do not look too flat after break in. Still great price. F brand $200 more.

Quality is excellent and these boots are beautiful, but they are way too narrow at the ball of the foot — as in nearly a straight shot from the normal narrow profile at the arch to the normal narrowness at the toe… but no flare out at the ball. I wear a “D Medium” in Ariat — I do not have a wide foot. Still gets a 5 star due to quality, but needs a wider version for a man’s foot.

I have ridden a Harley for 40+ years. I always wear sturdy boots with a good sole for traction when I ride. These boots fit excellently, look great, and are light on the feet. Took them for a 200-mile ride when I got them. In particular, the calf circumference is comfortably wide so I can wear them over my jeans, yet they breathe for comfort in hot weather. Definitely recommend!

These Schott boots are of the highest quality and are an excellent fit for me. I have four Schott jackets and they are all among the best. Schott has always delivered the finest products and service.

I love my Schott BT54 engineer boots but I find these BT50 harness boots to be a huge disappointment. Though the leather and the overall quality and workmanship are at the usual terrific level you always get from Schott, it’s the details in the design that fail me here. The silhouette of these classic-style boots is terrible. These boots are shaped like a duck’s bill from the side. The square toe of a great harness boot should not be this flat and dainty looking; it should be taller, even a little more boxy. The photo of these boots being worn on a motorcycle show exactly what I mean. These boots are just dorky looking. Maybe they are the right boots for a guy with a man bun but they don’t look rugged enough or sturdy enough in my opinion. I am so disappointed to leave this review, especially when the BT24 6” lace-up service boots are beautifully designed and now offered in three different colors. I really hope Schott keeps making more boots, while closely adhering to the details in the styles of the past.

A Harley rider for years, I wear jackets 118 and 141 both size 44, and Schott BT54 engineer boots size 10. My gym shoe size is 10.5 but I wear size 10 engineer boots since engineer boots usually have a more spacious vamp area regardless of brand, in my experience. Schott is my preferred brand quite simply because they excel in their commitment to their customer’s interests in both product breadth and their insane quality. Just received the new BT50 harness boots size 10.5, my gym shoe size. Fit, feel, and finish are perfect as I expected. Nice job Schott. Tell your crafts people thanks! Another item that will outlive me, yikes!
